Cornell consists in expressing information in three formats:

1. Index or content table:

Here we place information by hierarchy. Think about the order of importance or which ones are part of or contain other concepts.

2. Scheme:

Here we represent the relationship between the concepts schematically. Think about drawings, parts, and scribbles.

3. Content:

Here we write the definitions or written content.
